Role

+ Strategic Audit & Audience Definition
+ Insight & Campaign Platform Development
+ Messaging Framework & Launch Narrative

Brief

Launch a new paid IP and drive awareness, engagement and purchase intent at scale. Target: 3.6M units across PS5 and PC in the first 12 months.

Insight

4:Loop could easily be reduced to “another sci-fi co-op game.” Its developer pedigree added to the ambiguity. Bad Robot suggested prestige narrative. Mike Booth suggested Left 4 Dead lineage. Neither fully captured the product. What defined the game was not genre or pedigree, but its central tension: the end of the world, with endless chances to prevent it.

Solution

“Fail To Save The World.” A platform that anchored the launch narrative and made the contradiction unmistakable. The line turned failure into the hook, signalling tone immediately: high stakes, low punishment. Approachable on entry but deep on return. In a crowded category, clarity became the differentiator.
